It seems that when the casting of Kismat Konnection was on, like all of us, actor Shahid kapur too was worried about how he and actress Vidya Balan would look together on screen.
According to sources, the actor was so apprehensive that Vidya may just end up looking years older to him, that he even took up the issue with director Aziz Mirza. Mirza on the other hand, was very sure of the look that he wanted from his leading lady. He was looking for a girl next door kind of look, which Juhi Chawla sported in her heydays. Hence he had zeroed in on Vidya, who he felt fitted in perfectly. Of course, now that the film is ready and up for release, Shahid is candid enough to admit that he is happy with the way they look on screen. In fact, when the duo appeared on a TV programme last week to promote their film, they looked quite fabulous together. Incidentally, Vidya plays Shahid's love interest in the film, is herself on a roll these days. Of the six releases that the actress has had so far in her career, five have been hits. The only non performer was Eklavya. Who knows, she just may be the lucky connection for Kismat Konnection as well.
